Jason Momoa Doesn't Give a Damn About That Whole 'Dad Bod' Conversation

Please direct all future inquiries about Jason Momoa's body to his Guinness birthday cake.

Despite the internet firestorm surrounding Jason Momoa’s “dad bod” earlier this month, the Aquaman actor seemed blissfully ignorant to the conversation surrounding him. Momoa hadn’t noticed, because he’s been celebrating his birthday with friends and a Guinness birthday cake, but when TMZ stopped Momoa earlier this week to ask about the comments, he was fully unbothered.

As the actor was leaving the airport this week, he patted his stomach and laughed when the “dad bod” topic was brought up. “Tell TMZ I’ll show them my dad bod soon,” Momoa joked, leaning out the window of a car. The "dad bod" photo shared by US Weekly drew criticism from commenters, asking what happened to Momoa's ripped physique. (Spoiler: chiseled abs come from flexing. Not walking around on the beach living your damn life.)

Last weekend, Momoa celebrated his birthday with friends, including Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke. The whole surprise party was documented in a short video for the actor's 40th birthday later this week. Complete with unlimited pints of Guinness and a giant Aquaman cake, it's clear that the ending up with a dad bod is the least of Momoa's worries.

With a starring role in next year’s Dune and an upcoming Apple TV show called See, Jason Momoa’s physique doesn’t seem to be stopping him from landing major roles. That means that either the internet is crazy (accurate) or we should all be getting in on this diet of dark beer and cake (also accurate). Everything seems to be working out just fine.
