Filipinos Trolled the Wrong Converge. Instead of the Telecom, They Trolled This American Punk Band
Guys, we know you’re pissed at your slow internet, but take a second to check if you’re on the right Facebook page before letting your rage take over your keyboard.
Converge, a hardcore American punk band, experienced firsthand the mighty anger of Filipinos with slow internet. It looks like they’ve been on the receiving end of Converge customers who are pissed at slow internet or disconnection, trolling the page with comments such as “stupid converge,” “please fix the f*cking internet,” and “why no connection.”
The problem? It’s the wrong Converge.
Converge (the band) took it all in good humor, but the comments got so intense that they had to come out with a statement that politely reminded Filipinos that they’ve got the wrong Converge, and while they are Converge (the band), they are not Converge (the telecom).
“Hey everyone... still just a hardcore band over here,” wrote Converge (the band). “Covid has not forced us to become an internet provider in the Philippines yet, but we hope everyone over there gets their internet access back.
