We get it. It’s hard to choose a password you’ll remember, especially when you’re required to input one that needs an uppercase character, a lowercase character, a number, and a symbol. That doesn’t give you an excuse to make up a password that’s as simple as ‘123456.’ It’s for your own sake, as well. Teams ID, a Silicon Valley tech company that provides password management and security solutions to both individuals and businesses, has released its list of the top 100 worst passwords of 2019. The list consists of predictable passwords that are commonly used and provide little to no security to accounts and private data.

If you possess any of the passwords below, TeamsID suggests that you change it up as soon as you can:

The Pew Research Center listed poor or weak passwords and repetition as top threats in data privacy and identity theft or hacking. Some of the other risks in the breach of data privacy include sharing passwords with others or using an unsecured WiFi connection. To prevent any data breach, the study suggests that one would always update the operating system of their smartphones to ensure that it carries the latest security updates. Using a different, more complicated password for each account helps, too.
