UAE Launches 5-Year Multiple Entry Visa For All Nationalities
The United Arab Emirates launched on Monday, January 6, the country's first multiple entry visa valid for five years.
So, if you're planning to visit Dubai or Abu Dhabi, two of the seven emirates that make up the UAR, this is the time to do it.
The five-year multiple entry visa will be introduced to eligible tourists in the next four months.
The UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid made the announcement during a cabinet meeting held on the same day, according to UAE news site The National.
"At present, tourists can visit UAE with multiple entry visa valid for 90 days from their date of entry," said The National.
The initiative is part of UAE's plan to be a major global tourist destination for the next 50 years.
The UAE Prime Minister confirmed in a tweet, "We receive more than 21 million tourists annually, and our aim is to establish the country as a major global tourist destination."
In 2019, Philippines was one of the key contributors to UAE's double-digit growth in tourism with 352,000 Filipinos visiting the emirates within the year.
