The Department of Health (DOH) is calling on doctors, nurses, nurse assistants, and hospital orderlies to volunteer against COVID-19. The application portal to be a healthcare warrior was posted just a day ago, with a full FAQ section on the experience, accommodation and food, compensation, and more.

Those who volunteer will be assigned to one of the three hospitals: Lung Center, Philippine General Hospital, or Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital. The daily shift will be eight hours for 14 consecutive days. Then, a mandatory on-site quarantine will take place for 14 days, which the portal compared to a "short holiday."

Food and accommodation will be provided for the entire month. As for compensation, it will be P500 a day through Paymaya. The DOH also promises P100,000 to both public and private health workers that contract "severe COVID-19 infection." While those who may die fighting the outbreak will get a P1 million payout.
