5 Things You Should Know About the All-New Toyota Innova

Toyota unveiled a refreshed version of its popular Innova on Saturday (February 20). The MPV is one of Toyota’s bestsellers, and is actually the carmaker’s biggest-selling model for a few years in the mid-2000s. 

Here’s what you need to know about the all-new Toyota Innova.

1| It’s assembled right here in the Philippines

The Innova is one of Toyota’s vehicles assembled in the company’s facility in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The model has sold 240,000 units, or about 15,000 units since it was introduced in 2005. It was the model that replaced the Revo, another Toyota creation that Filipinos have grown to love while it was still around.

2| It features new design and improvements and innovations

The all-new Innova comes in J, E, G, and V variants. It has a new front grille accented by LED headlamps and LED front fog lamps for the V variant, which also has a redesigned side turn signal lamps and daytime running lights. At the rear there are combination lights that get a black outline redesign (for V and G variants).

The V variant has 17-inch alloy wheels while G and E variants get newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels.

The Innova is powered by a 2.8-liter diesel engine and is available in Eco and Power drive modes. Other features are Push Start and Smart Entry (for V variant), and connectivity via Apple Carplay and Android Auto (for V, G, and E variants).

Inside the V and G variants come sin two-tone Noble Brown + Black color, while the V variant still has second-row captain seats for a more relaxed ride. All variants of the new Innova still enjoy efficient luggage space, while there is a foldable seat back table with cup holder (for V and G variants).

3| Its safety features are improved

All variants of the new Innova come with SRS airbags (7 for the V variant), 3-pt. ELR seatbelts, Anti-Lock Brake System with Brake Assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control, and Hill-Start Assist Control. 

Drivers will also appreciate the reverse camera and audible warnings through clearance and back sonars (on the V and G variants).

4| It comes in a variety of colors

Depending on the variant, the Innova comes in White Pearl Crystal Shine, Blackish Red Mica, Alumina Jade Metallic, Black, Silver Metallic, Super White, and Red Mica Metalic.

5| Pricing

The all-new Innova starts at P1.18 million for the J manual transmission variant and goes up to P1.74 million for the V automatic transmission variant.
