Motorists can now enjoy a smooth ride to cities north of Metro Manila.

The highly anticipated final phase of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) is finally open, marking the completion of the 89.21 km expressway project in Northern Luzon.

TPLEX opens today, July 15, to the public, who can now enjoy just a three-hour drive from Manila to Baguio City via TPLEX. The expressway connects Manila to Pangasinan, La Union, Baguio, and more, with the final portion shortening travel time from Tarlac to Rosario by almost an hour.

The project is under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). San Miguel Corporation’s Private Infra Dev Corp (PIDC) was tapped as the government’s private concessionaire for TPLEX, a four-lane, high speed toll road.
